Doreen Holmes, LMT, IMT-C, C-PP
Doreen is a certified Integrative Manual therapist graduating from the Connecticut School of Integrative Manual Therapy in Bloomfield, Connecticut. She is a licensed Massage Therapist graduating from Spa Tech Institute with a focus on holistic massage, nutrition and polarity. Doreen enjoys spending time with her family and making memories with her grandchildren.
Stephanie Holmes, DPT, RYT
Stephanie received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in Movement Science. She then received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of New England in 2007. Stephanie trained at The Breathing Room in South Portland where she became certified as a yoga teacher in 2015. She has worked in outpatient orthopedic settings where she has helped clients to overcome a wide variety of ailments to return to healthy function. At innovative Physical Therapy, Stephanie provides all of her patients with her focused personal attention. Stephanie believes in educating and empowering patients to take an active role in their own health. She looks to treat clients as a whole and searches beyond the site of pain for causative factors that may lead to dysfunction. She utilizes a combination of functional exercise with manual therapy and education. She has taken more than 20 continuing education courses including: kinesio taping, myofascial release, strain/counter-strain, advanced vestibular rehab, muscle energy, myokinematic restoration, spinal rehab, knee and shoulder rehab, cranial therapy, postural respiration, impingement and instability, integrative manual therapy and the pelvic rotator cuff. Stephanie spends her free time with her husband and children, gardening and doing yoga.
Valerie Knight, MSPT
Grew up in a large family in a small farm town in Western Massachusetts.
Attended Ithaca College 1995-2000, earning Masters of Science in Physical Therapy, rowed crew. Worked as play therapist with children with developmental disabilities being treated with Tomatis Method at Sound~Movement Listening Center in Sunderland, MA. Introduced to Body-Mind Centering techniques and nutrition education. Attended Barbara Brennan School of Healing 2003-2007, earning diploma in Brennan Healing Science. Since 2005, Practiced in variety of settings in Western Massachusetts, Southern Oregon and Midcoast Maine including skilled nursing, veterans home, home health, and outpatient private practice including specialized manual and aquatic facility. Starting in 2012, Trained in John F Barnes Myofascial Release (MFR) Approach – currently an Advanced Practitioner including Women’s/Men’s Health training for continence management and pelvic floor dysfunction. Traveled throughout United States (driven through all lower 48) and to Canada, Europe and South America. Likes: learning new manual therapy techniques, reading, traveling, smiling, yin yoga, MFR, good food, puzzles – of all kinds, meeting new people, hugs, laughing with friends and family, lively discussions about the meaning of life, relaxing with the “critters” in front of fire while watching snow fall outside or being out on the water on a lovely Maine afternoon.
Amber Adams, DPT
Amber received her Bachelors of Health Science and Masters in Physical Therapy from Husson College in 2003. She returned to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Husson University in 2011. Amber has practiced in a variety of settings including, Subacute, Hospital and Pediatrics, most recently owning Get Up And Grow Therapy, LLC from 2007-2015. She has taken many continuing education courses including Kinesiotaping and Therapeutic Yoga, along with many pediatric courses. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, knitting, gardening and practicing yoga.
Aaron Holmes, LMT, IMT-C, HWC

Aaron received his Massage Therapy license in 2001 and soon after joined The Connecticut School of Integrative Manual Therapy. He graduated with his certification in Integrative Manual Therapy (I.M.T;C) in 2006. After graduation, Aaron worked for The Center of Integrative Manual Therapy and Wellness Center as the Director of Wellness. Aaron traveled around the country to the affiliated centers, learning and helping people to overcome pain. Aaron moved back to Maine in 2010 with a mission to provide wellness to the local community. In 2012 he became certified in wellness coaching from Spencer Institute. Aaron is now the Director of Health and Wellness at Innovative Wellness Center. He continues to educate himself in the wellness field and has taken over 90 professional development courses including Integrative Manual Therapy, Myofascial Release Techniques, Strain/Counter Strain, Cranial-sacral Therapy, Kinesio Taping, Gluten Hypersensitivity and GI conditions, Chronic pain, Men’s and Women’s health, Functional Medicine, Wellness coaching and more. Aaron also enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, gardening, yoga, running, eating cheese:) and meditating. Aaron loves to teach and is passionate about his work and sharing it with his clients.
Abigail Lopez, LicAc, MAOM
Licensed Acupuncturist &
Chinese Herbal Practitioner
Abigail has always had an interest in how bodies work, what creates illness and how to restore balance. It is this interest that led her into the field of acupuncture. Abigail works with her patients to create whole body wellness through the use of acupuncture, herbs, diet, breathing and lifestyle recommendations. Abigail received her BA in Dance from Skidmore College. She spent many years after receiving her undergraduate degree apprenticing an Amma massage therapist and studying Traditional Chinese Massage in Boulder, Colorado which directed her to the field of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. In 2009 Abigail received a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture. Abigail’s practice centers on treating the root of the problem, rather than focusing solely on the apparent symptoms. Additionally, she recognizes that preventative care is the ground work for a patient to live a healthy and full life. As well as acupuncture, Abigail incorporates into her practice the use of Chinese herbs, non-insertive needling techniques, tui na (a style of Asian massage), moxibustion, magnets, cupping and uses both Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture. As an acupuncturist, she supports patients in cultivating mind-body awareness. She is committed to helping the community experience whole body health and well-being through the use of education and treatment.
Sarah Coughlin, LMT
Sarah first discovered her passion for massage therapy after a snowboarding injury. During her recovery, she attended Seacoast Career School in Maine where she graduated in 2010. She enjoys connecting the mind, body, and spirit in her practice as both a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Level II Reiki Practitioner. Sarah has experience in the following modalities: Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, Sports, Deep Tissue, Swedish, Reflexology and Reiki. In addition to being a Massage Therapist, Sarah is currently in school to become a Physical Therapist.
